On this tour, participants will have the chance to explore 2 distinct wineries to compare their production methods.
The experience kicks off with a guided stroll through the vineyards and the winery, including the underground sections, led by a knowledgeable Oenologist. This expert will introduce us to the vineyards, production areas, and cellar.
At each winery, we'll enjoy an exquisite tasting of 3 to 5 premium wines, paired with a delightful selection of regional cheeses and cold cuts.
The lunch experience is complemented by exceptional local wines, allowing guests to savor perfect pairings with national cuisine. This three-course meal includes a starter, main course, and dessert, each paired with one or more wines that perfectly match the selected dishes.
A must-try is the high-quality beef in Uruguay, typically grilled. This method uses embers from a wood fire, imparting an exquisite smoky flavor.
Tannat is the perfect match for Uruguayan meats, with its rich tannin structure complementing the meat, while the meat enhances the wine's flavor. Desserts can be enjoyed with a late harvest, a dessert wine, or a sparkling demi-sec.
We will be visiting the following wineries: Spinoglio and Pizzorno. One will host the tasting, while the other will provide the lunch.
